In the early hours of a Sunday morning, a confrontation born from a soured romance turned deadly on a quiet street in the West Brighton neighborhood of Staten Island. Joshua Williams, a 30-year-old man from the East Flatbush section of Brooklyn, had been visiting his girlfriend at her home on Bement Avenue. What should have been a peaceful night was shattered by the arrival of his girlfriend's former beau, 32-year-old Ramel Santiago of Stapleton.
