Detective James Nemorin, aged 36, tragically lost his life on March 10, 2003, in Staten Island, New York, during an undercover operation. Nemorin, along with his partner Detective Rodney Andrews, was involved in a buy-and-bust operation targeting illegal firearms. The detectives were attempting to purchase a Tech-9 submachine gun from a suspect who had previously sold them a .357 Magnum.
