In the autumn of 1991, a burst of violence shattered the evening quiet in the South Beach section of Staten Island, leaving a young man's life tragically cut short. On Thursday, November 21, 1991, 18-year-old Cleveland Boyce was shot and killed. The incident, which also resulted in injuries to two other teenagers, stemmed from a dispute that had reportedly been simmering for a week.
