In the winter of 2016, a life was tragically cut short on a Staten Island street. Tanoon Quoquoi, a 31-year-old Black man, was fatally shot in the Stapleton neighborhood on the afternoon of December 26th. The incident, which unfolded just a few blocks from his home, began with a verbal dispute outside a deli on Broad Street.
