Joseph Lawrence 'Joe' Silva, aged 43, tragically lost his life on February 16, 1988, in Sunnyvale, California. Silva was one of the victims in a horrific mass shooting that took place at ESL Inc., a computer company in the heart of Silicon Valley. The perpetrator, Richard Farley, a former employee of ESL Inc., went on a rampage after being fired from the company.
