Ernesto Castro-Sanchez, a 20-year-old resident of Sunnyvale, California, tragically lost his life in a shooting incident on August 2, 2014. The incident occurred at Encinal Park, located on the 400 block of Macara Avenue, around 2:30 a.m. Ernesto was shot in the neck and succumbed to his injuries at the scene. A woman who was with him at the time was also injured but survived after being taken to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. This incident marked the first homicide of the year in Sunnyvale, ...
