Ronald Steven "Ron" Reed, aged 26, tragically lost his life on February 16, 1988, in Sunnyvale, California. Reed was one of the victims in a mass shooting that took place at ESL Inc., a computer company in Sunnyvale. The shooter, Richard Farley, a former employee of the company, carried out the attack due to an obsession with a co-worker, Laura Black. Farley had been stalking Black for several years, and his unrequited feelings and subsequent rejection led him to commit the heinous act.
