Dontea (Ted) Bascom, a 16-year-old from Brooklyn, NY, tragically lost his life on April 17, 2015, after being shot in the groin at the Marcy Houses in Bedford-Stuyvesant. The incident occurred around 7:15 p.m. while Bascom was sitting on a bench with his 13-year-old cousin, Michael Parnell.
