Death by Force

On February 29, 2024, 13-year-old Troy Gill was fatally shot in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, as he was returning home from a Brooklyn Nets game at the Barclays Center. At approximately 10:30 p.m., Gill was shot multiple times near New York Avenue and Bergen Street. He suffered gunshot wounds to the chest, back, and twice in the arm.
