Death by Force

On May 12, 2024, at approximately 12:12 a.m., 24-year-old Maurice Boodie was fatally shot outside his residence at 2274 Strauss Street in the Brownsville neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. Responding officers from the 73rd Precinct discovered Boodie with gunshot wounds to his chest and right leg. Emergency Medical Services transported him to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 1:43 a.m.
