Ramone Ortiz, a 19-year-old from Brooklyn, NY, tragically lost his life on October 12, 2017. Ortiz was fatally shot outside the Gowanus Houses public housing complex in Brooklyn. The incident occurred around 3:50 a.m. when police responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found Ortiz with a gunshot wound to his chest.
