It is claimed that prominent members of the 8 Trey Crips and 9 Ways gangs, including the rapper Michael Williams, who performs under the name Sheff G, gathered for a lavish dinner at a Manhattan steakhouse. The purpose of this gathering, according to authorities, was to celebrate the death of Theodore Senior and the wounding of his associates. This act highlighted the callous nature of the ongoing gang warfare.
In a broad-reaching effort to dismantle the criminal organizations responsible for this and other acts of violence, law enforcement officials announced a 140-count indictment against 32 alleged members of the 8 Trey Crips and 9 Ways gangs. The charges are extensive, encompassing conspiracy to commit murder, second-degree murder, and numerous other offenses. Specifically, an individual named Dekattu has been charged with the murder of Theodore Senior. Rapper Michael Williams and his sister, Crystal Williams, are also named in the indictment, accused of being part of the conspiracy to commit murder. The indictment further alleges that Michael Williams used proceeds from his successful music career to fuel the cycle of violence, offering financial rewards and expensive jewelry to gang members who carried out shootings.
