On New Year's Eve of 2021, a troubled family history culminated in the tragic death of 29-year-old Joseph Leone Jr. on a Staten Island sidewalk. The young man, a father of three from South Carolina, had traveled to New York to help his estranged father, Joseph Leone Sr., who was struggling with alcoholism after a recent fall. The visit, however, ended in a fatal confrontation outside the father's Rosebank home.
