Shaheed Heedi James, a 28-year-old resident of Poughkeepsie, NY, tragically lost his life on February 4, 2019, following a violent incident. On that day, James was shot in the head in a double shooting that occurred at the intersection of South Cherry and Church Streets in Poughkeepsie. Another individual, a 41-year-old man, was also shot in the leg during the same incident but survived and was released from the hospital shortly after.
