Frederick Wells, a 16-year-old student from Poughkeepsie High School, tragically lost his life on June 20, 2020. The incident occurred around 8 p.m. near the intersection of North Bridge and Charles streets, just blocks from his home. Wells was shot in the back, and the bullet pierced his heart, leading to his untimely death. The shooting happened after his companion, another 16-year-old, was stabbed but survived the encounter.
