In the summer of 2015 on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, the life of 17-year-old Dominique Williams was cut short in a fatal shooting that stemmed from a dispute among teenagers. Williams, a male, was a rising high school senior, known for his involvement in his church as a drummer and as a player on the Groves High School football team. The events that tragically culminated in his death began to unfold over a few days in July.
