In late March 2021, a violent incident unfolded in the St. Louis suburb of Berkeley, Missouri, claiming the life of 32-year-old Courtland Crump. On the morning of Tuesday, March 30, police officers were dispatched to a residence in the 8600 block of Stella Avenue following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival at approximately 6:35 a.m., authorities discovered Crump inside the home, suffering from at least one apparent gunshot wound.
Emergency responders pronounced Crump dead at the
scene, launching a homicide investigation led by the St. Louis County Police Department’s Bureau of Crimes Against Persons.
