On February 20, 2023, at approximately 9 p.m., 32-year-old Rashad Hollis was fatally shot in St. Louis, Missouri. The incident occurred in the 5500 block of Floy Avenue, located in the city's Walnut Park West neighborhood. Police officers responding to the scene found Hollis lying on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds to his chest; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second individual, also a 32-year-old male, was discovered nearby suffering from gunshot wounds to his stomach and leg.
