On February 3, 2024, a violent incident unfolded in the Dutchtown neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri, leaving a community shaken and a family grieving. Police officers responded to a call in the 3300 block of Gasconade Street, near the southern edge of Marquette Park, where they discovered the lifeless body of 40-year-old male Shanchez Jordan on the sidewalk.
