Joel Phillips, a 22-year-old resident of Saint Louis, Missouri, was tragically shot to death on August 20, 2020. The incident occurred in the parking lot of a McDonald's located at 1420 Hampton Avenue in the Clayton-Tamm neighborhood of St. Louis. Phillips was found in the driver's seat of his vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds, including at least one to his chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the responding officers from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
