DaMontez Jones, a 15-year-old from Overland, Missouri, tragically died on June 3, 2016, from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest. The incident occurred at his home around 7:30 p.m. Police believe that DaMontez accidentally shot himself while attempting to take a selfie with a loaded gun. His older brothers, who were in another room at the time, reported hearing the gunshot and found DaMontez lying next to his cell phone.
