On the evening of January 15, 2021, law enforcement officers in St. Louis, Missouri, were summoned to the Carondelet neighborhood following reports of gunfire. The incident occurred in the southern part of the city, specifically within the 3600 block of Bates Street. Upon their arrival around 7:15 p.m., police discovered a scene of violence on a residential porch where a male victim lay unresponsive.
