In the late hours of a Tuesday evening in May, the sound of gunfire shattered the peace in the 6000 block of Madison in Berkeley, a suburb of St. Louis. Responding to a call at approximately 10:30 p.m. on May 16, 2017, police discovered 25-year-old Terrance Robinson inside an apartment building, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation into the death of the young Missouri resident was swift, with the Major Case Squad of
Greater St. Louis being activated to assist the Berkeley Police Department just four hours after Robinson's body was found. For six consecutive days, investigators worked tirelessly to piece together the events that led to the fatal shooting. Their efforts culminated in the identification of a suspect.
Six days after the incident, an arrest was made. Christopher Johnson, a 24-year-old from St. Louis, was taken into custody and charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action in connection with Robinson's death. Johnson was subsequently held without bond.
