Daniel Lydell Brock was a 31-year-old Black male resident of Saint Louis, Missouri, whose life was abruptly ended on the afternoon of June 27, 2020. He was situated on a porch in the Walnut Park West neighborhood, a residential area in the northern part of the city. At the time of the incident, he was accompanied by two other men, aged 37 and 22.
