Billy Kipkorir Chemirmir: A Detailed Account of His Crimes
Background
Billy Kipkorir Chemirmir was born on December 8, 1972, in Eldama Ravine, Rift Valley Province, Kenya. He emigrated to the United States in 2003 and worked as a caregiver and car salesman in North Texas. Chemirmir was accused of the murders of at least 18 elderly women in Dallas, Texas, and its surrounding suburbs. He was indicted for 22 murders and convicted of two. Chemirmir was killed in prison on September 19, 2023.
Crimes
Chemirmir's killing spree began in early 2016. He posed as a medical professional or maintenance person to gain access to the properties of elderly women. Once inside, he smothered them with a pillow and stole their jewelry, which he then sold online. Chemirmir was linked to at least three deaths at Edgemere Retirement Community in Dallas, where he was arrested for trespassing in June 2016. After his release, he continued his crimes at the Tradition-Prestonwood Centre in Dallas, where he was linked to nine deaths between 2016 and 2018.
