Spillman later confessed to her murder, revealing that he had exhumed her body after death to commit necrophilic acts before reburying her. This gruesome revelation highlighted the extent of his perverse inclinations.

Murders of Rita and Mandy Huffman

On April 12, 1995, 48-year-old Rita Huffman and her 15-year-old daughter, Mandy, were brutally murdered in their East Wenatchee, Washington, home. Spillman had been stalking Mandy for months prior to the attack, fixated on her as his next victim. The crime scene was a testament to his monstrous nature: both victims were sexually mutilated and posed in provocative positions. Rita had been stabbed 31 times, with her breasts removed and her genital area excised and placed in her mouth. Mandy was bludgeoned, stabbed, and had a baseball bat forcibly inserted into her vagina. Spillman's black pickup truck was spotted near the crime scene that night, and a blood-covered 12-inch knife, matching a set from the victims' home, was recovered nearby.
