Serial Killer Anthony Allen Shore
Introduction
Anthony Allen Shore was an American serial killer who terrorized the Houston, Texas area from 1986 to 2003. Known as "The Tourniquet Killer," Shore was convicted of sexually assaulting and murdering multiple young women and girls. His crimes were marked by the use of a ligature, often a tourniquet, to strangle his victims. He evaded capture for nearly two decades until DNA evidence finally led to his arrest in 2003.
Victims
Shore was responsible for the brutal murders of at least four young women, with possible links to additional unsolved cases. Below are details about his confirmed victims:
- Laurie Lee Tremblay (15) - September 26, 1986
Laurie was last seen walking to school in Houston, Texas. Her body was found behind a Mexican restaurant, where she had been raped and strangled with a ligature. Shore later confessed to her murder.
- Maria del Carmen Estrada (21) - April 16, 1992
Maria was working as a cashier at a Houston bakery. She was abducted, raped, and strangled with a tourniquet. Her body was found in the back of a Dairy Queen parking lot. DNA evidence later linked Shore to this crime.
- Diana Rebollar (9) - August 8, 1994
Diana was a young girl who was lured into Shore’s car in Houston. He raped and strangled her using a makeshift tourniquet. Her body was dumped in a secluded area.
- Dana Sanchez (16) - July 6, 1995
Dana was hitchhiking when Shore picked her up. He later raped and strangled her with a tourniquet before discarding her body. Her remains were discovered weeks later in a field.
