David Parker Ray: The "Toy-Box Killer"

Introduction

David Parker Ray, infamously known as the "Toy-Box Killer," was a serial rapist and suspected serial killer who operated in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. He was known for his elaborate torture chamber, referred to as the "toy box," where he reportedly tortured and murdered an unknown number of victims.

The Crimes

Ray is suspected of abducting, sexually assaulting, and torturing numerous women over several decades. His crimes came to light in 1999 when one of his victims managed to escape and alert authorities.

Known Victims

  • Cynthia Vigil - On March 22, 1999, Vigil was abducted and taken to Ray’s trailer, where she was tortured for three days before escaping.
  • Angelica Montano - Another victim who managed to escape and report her abduction but was not initially believed.
  • Kelly Garrett - Abducted in 1996, drugged, and tortured before being released, suffering severe psychological trauma.
