Ryan Eagon and the 2025 Tiffin, Ohio, Triple Murder-Suicide

Overview of the Crime

Ryan Eagon was identified by police as the gunman responsible for a triple homicide and suicide that occurred in Tiffin, Ohio, on November 19, 2025. Eagon, 42, fatally shot an adult man and two young boys outside a residence in the 100 block of Huss Street. One of the children was Eagon's own 7-month-old son. The other was his wife's 7-year-old son from a previous relationship. The adult victim was 29-year-old Dustin Willey, the father of the 7-year-old boy. Willey had accompanied Eagon's wife to the residence while she collected her belongings following what police described as ongoing domestic problems in the home. Investigators said the woman and Willey believed Eagon was away on a work trip and did not expect him to be present. The attack ended when Eagon fatally shot himself. His wife was not physically injured, but police described her as shocked, overwhelmed and visibly traumatized. The killings left three victims dead and two families grieving the loss of young children and a devoted father.

Events Leading to the Shooting

According to the Tiffin Police Department, Eagon's wife had decided to remove her remaining possessions from the Huss Street residence because of continuing domestic difficulties. Dustin Willey went with her to assist with the move. Willey shared custody or parenting responsibilities for the woman's older child and was reportedly closely involved in the boy's life. The woman and Willey entered the house to gather property while the 7-year-old and the 7-month-old infant remained outside near a vehicle. At some point, the adults heard the older child cry out. When they went outside to investigate, they discovered Eagon standing in the driveway. His unexpected appearance immediately transformed the moving trip into a deadly confrontation. Police determined that Eagon was armed and began pursuing Willey. He fired multiple shots in Willey's direction as Willey attempted to escape or protect himself. Eagon then turned his weapon toward the two children and shot them. Investigators said he subsequently fired additional rounds at Willey before turning the firearm on himself.

The Emergency Response

Shortly before 6:30 p.m. on November 19, 2025, emergency dispatchers received reports of gunfire and screaming in the neighborhood. Tiffin police officers arrived at the Huss Street property and encountered a devastating scene involving four people with gunshot wounds. Eagon and the 7-month-old infant were pronounced dead at the residence. Emergency personnel transported Dustin Willey to Mercy Health-Tiffin Hospital, where he died from his injuries. The 7-year-old boy was also taken for emergency medical treatment but could not be saved and was later pronounced dead.
