Ja’Vonne Ellis, a 15-year-old from Indianapolis, Indiana, was tragically shot and killed on July 19, 2014. Ellis had experienced a tumultuous life, marked by various incidents and challenges. He had given up football after being mysteriously shot in the foot and had been expelled from middle school for punching a teacher. Despite these setbacks, he discovered a passion for welding at Arsenal Technical High School, which his sister believed could have led to a promising career.
