Leandre Lane, a 17-year-old from Indianapolis, was tragically shot and killed on April 7, 2019. The incident occurred on the far east side of Indianapolis, near the intersection of 34th Street and Franklin Road. Leandre was on his way to play basketball with a friend when a vehicle approached them. Someone exited the vehicle and opened fire, fatally wounding Leandre before fleeing the scene.
