In Gary, Indiana, a 29-year-old man named Robert Armstead was fatally shot in his own home on Wednesday, April 1, 2015. The incident occurred in the 4400 block of Connecticut Street. Armstead was transported to Methodist Hospital in Gary, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2015. The Lake County Coroner's Office officially ruled his death a homicide.
