DeShelon Hicks Jr., a 20-year-old resident of Gary, Indiana, tragically lost his life on September 27, 2014. Hicks, affectionately known as "Dee Dee," was born on February 13, 1994, and was a graduate of Thea Bowman Leadership Academy. He was employed at Interprize Realty in Hammond, Indiana, at the time of his death.
