In the late summer evening of August 27, 2021, the life of 16-year-old Mark Anthony Evans was tragically cut short in Gary, Indiana. A junior at Westside Leadership Academy, the young Black male was known for his active involvement in school, where he was a member of the football and baseball teams, as well as the band.
