In the winter of 2015, the life of Dwayne E. Momon, a 48-year-old performing artist and insurance agent, was cut short in what remains an unsolved crime. On the evening of December 7th, Momon was fatally shot inside his apartment located in the 3500 block of Washington Street in Gary, Indiana. Residing in Gary for most of his life, he was a 1985 graduate of Lew Wallace High School and was known for his work as a promoter for Demo Services.
