Shaolin Tiriq-Arik Newsom, an 18-year-old from Anderson, Indiana, tragically lost his life on October 27, 2016. Newsom, also known as "Tiriq," was fatally shot outside a home on the 1800 block of West 21st Street in Anderson. The incident occurred after an argument over a Facebook post escalated into violence. Newsom was shot twice in the chest and once in the back, and despite being transported to St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
