In the late hours of a November night in Anderson, Indiana, the life of 15-year-old Jullian 'JuJu' Darrell Craig was cut tragically short. On November 24, 2023, the young man, known for his love of video games and basketball, died from a gunshot wound sustained during an attempted robbery.
The incident unfolded when Jullian, in the company of 18-year-old Donavan Harris, allegedly attempted to rob another individual. During the course of the robbery, a shootout ensued.
While Jullian is reported to have fired multiple shots, the person being robbed returned fire, striking Jullian in the chest.
Following the fatal shooting, law enforcement officials arrested Donavan Harris. The Madison County prosecutor has charged Harris with murder. The legal basis for this charge stems from the accusation that Harris was a co-perpetrator in the commission of a robbery that directly led to a death. In addition to the murder charge, Harris is also facing charges for drug dealing and attempted armed robbery. A search of Harris's home reportedly uncovered fentanyl.
