Sherrod Carter, aged 39, tragically lost his life on May 22, 2017, in Gary, Indiana. The incident occurred in the 2100 block of Carolina Street, where Carter was found on the ground in an alley behind an apartment. He was transported to Methodist Hospitals Northlake Campus in Gary but succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
