In the summer of 2014, the life of a young Black man, Jaque R. Jones, was tragically cut short in Gary, Indiana. At the age of 22, Jones, affectionately known as 'Keezy' to his friends and family, was killed on June 29, 2014. His death was the result of gun violence and has been classified as a homicide.
