On a summer night in July 2018, 28-year-old Nicholas Edwards was out celebrating a friend's birthday in Gary, Indiana. This night of celebration with his friends, Darius Ross, 28, and his fiancée, Heather Talley, 27, would tragically be their last. The group was together when they were fatally shot in what would become a complex and lengthy homicide investigation.
