In the Glen Park section of Gary, Indiana, a grim discovery shattered the quiet of the 4400 block of Johnson Street. On the afternoon of Monday, October 5, 2020, police responded to a request for a welfare check at the home of 39-year-old Kelton Julius Aaron. What they found inside was a scene of tragedy that would leave a lasting scar on the community. Kelton, a Black male, and his 15-year-old son, Amari, were found shot to death.
