Jesus Zarate, a 22-year-old resident of Posen, Illinois, was tragically murdered in Gary, Indiana, on January 23, 2021. Jesus, affectionately known as "Jesse," had just celebrated his 22nd birthday on January 14th. His death came as a devastating blow to his family, who had already been mourning the loss of his father, Jose Zarate, who passed away in November 2020 due to COVID-19.
