Marcel Tyrice Harris, a 29-year-old resident of Gary, Indiana, tragically lost his life on August 5, 2017, in a fatal shooting incident. The confrontation occurred at a strip mall located in the 5400 block of West 25th Avenue in Gary. The altercation, which began as a dispute, escalated quickly when Marcus McCain, a 30-year-old from Neenah, Wisconsin, pulled out a gun and shot Harris in the temple. This incident was described by the presiding judge as an "execution-type killing".
