A promising young life was tragically cut short on the evening of Friday, February 5, 2016, in Gary, Indiana. Mark Skipper, a 15-year-old male from Hammond, was found shot to death inside a parked car in the 800 block of Burr Street. A Gary police officer on patrol discovered the grim scene at approximately 8:30 p.m., finding the driver's side door of the vehicle ajar. Inside, he found the bodies of two teenagers who had been fatally shot.
