In the early morning hours of July 8, 2023, the life of 37-year-old Troy Allen, a Black male from Gary, Indiana, was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire. The fatal incident unfolded at the Up Top Lounge, a local establishment in Gary, where Allen and others were gathered.
