Steven Rice, a 30-year-old resident of Gary, Indiana, tragically lost his life on July 1, 2020. He was shot near 15th Avenue and Cleveland Street around 3:10 p.m. and was subsequently dropped off at Methodist Hospital Northlake, where he succumbed to his injuries approximately 40 minutes later. Steven's death was one of two fatal shootings that occurred in Gary on the same day, with the other victim being 18-year-old Jacquice Baylock.
