On the evening of August 17, 2022, the life of 79-year-old Cornelius Murphy Olive was tragically cut short in a senseless act of violence in Gary, Indiana. A retired family man who had recently moved back to the area from Mississippi to be closer to his loved ones, Olive was simply taking his granddaughter's dog for a walk near his home on West 21st Place.
