In the autumn of 2020, a quiet street in Gary, Indiana, became the scene of a heart-wrenching discovery that left a community in shock. On the afternoon of October 5th, concerned neighbors requested a welfare check at a home in the 4400 block of Johnson Street. Responding officers entered the residence to find a grim scene: the bodies of 39-year-old Kelton Aaron and his 15-year-old son, Amari Aaron. Both father and son had been fatally shot.
