In the winter of 2019 in South Bend, Indiana, a promising young life was tragically cut short. Ajurin LaShaun Blake, a 16-year-old African American male, was fatally shot on the evening of January 13, 2019. Known affectionately as 'Aj Walker,' he was a sophomore at Washington High School where he was not only an excellent student but also a talented athlete, participating in football, basketball, and track and field.
