In the summer of 2019, a burst of gunfire shattered the evening quiet on the near north side of Indianapolis, leaving a man dead and a neighborhood searching for answers. On July 30th, police responded to a call of shots fired in the 3000 block of Capitol Avenue. Not long after, another call came in, this time from an anonymous individual reporting a possible gunshot victim in a nearby alley.
